Contribute to the Cyclone Gabrielle Relief Fund

The impact of Cyclone Gabrielle is immeasurable and has disproportionately impacted the horticultural community. Large numbers of people have experienced trauma, lost their homes, their jobs and their livelihoods. This is a lifechanging event for many.

The Hawke’s Bay Fruitgrowers’ Charitable Trust has set up a fund to provide assistance to those in need. All contributions will be used to address immediate wellbeing needs and to provide longer term pastoral care to assist in getting people back on their feet.

Donations can be made via our Givalittle page

Or directly to the Hawke’s Bay Fruitgrowers Association Charitable Trust.

Support the Association

The Association is the collective voice for Hawke’s Bay Fruitgrowers- an industry that is a major economic provider for the region. Horticulture is the third largest primary sector by revenue and a $6.4 billion economy for New Zealand.

Your HBFA membership connects you to local growers, regional issues and events. If you are paying a levy to your respective sector body, this doesn’t automatically make you a member of the Association- so sign up now!

Your membership provides you with:

  • Invites and networking opportunities – a chance to meet fellow growers and industry leaders. Attend local workshops and seminars
  • Horticulture news – the HBFA e-newsletter brings you news and articles from across the sectors and industry
  • The opportunity for voting rights – only members have voting rights at the Associations’ Annual General Meeting. Decisions about the Association are made through this mechanism, so every vote counts!
  • Member Intel alerts – new to 2020, only members receive these text alerts to important news or information as soon as it comes to hand.

Support the Association and your industry!

Our generous sponsors provide more than financial support to the Association- they help raise awareness of what we do – to protect, foster and promote horticulture in Hawke’s Bay.

We believe in creating meaningful relationships – our sponsors are part of an extraordinary team of local businesses and individuals who are passionate about horticulture.
