Advocacy is a key role for the association

Advocacy is achieved by facilitating effective dialogue with its members, industry and stakeholders through open and regular engagement. By proactively managing emerging issues now and in the future, the Association can better to understand and prepare for challenges and opportunities that are ahead.

In response to Cyclone Gabrielle, HBFA has engaged Wanda Douglas to provide free and confidential psychological support to our members and their families. Wanda is a Registered Psychologist with the NZ Psychologists’ Board. She is based locally in Taradale.
