Memberships Options

New membership applications take approximately two weeks to process. Membership fees are due in October after HBFA’s Annual General Meeting, when new Company and Grower member applications are approved. If an organisation joins after April, this fee will be pro-rated. All members are required to pay an annual membership fee.

Membership fees

Active Grower Membership (2 categories )

Grower member - small to medium active commercial fruit growers who have less than five employees. $99 incl gst

Corporate grower member (used to be company grower member) being larger entities who are active commercial fruit growers- 3 tiers

- - Tier 1 – 6 to 25 full time employees. Membership subscription $175.00 incl gst
  - Tier 2 - 26 to 49 full time employees. Membership subscription $300.00 incl gst
  - Tier 3 – 50+ full time employees. Membership subscription $550.00 incl gst
Business Membership: A company, Trust, Partnership or legal entity that provides goods or services to the fruitgrowing industry & is deemed by HBFA executive as having an interest in the fruitgrowing industry. $99 incl gst

Associate Member (new membership category) This category is open to: a person who is an employee of an Active Grower Member or an employee of a Business member who would like to have membership in their own individual capacity, or a person who was previously and Active Grower Member who has reitred, leased out or ceased fruitgrowing and want to continue with a form of membership with HBFA. $49.00 incl GST

Grower Membership is available to individuals who are actively engaged in commercial fruit growing in Hawkes Bay and have 5 or less full-time employees,
*Active grower member: A person who has a minimum of 3 years experience working in the commercial fruit production industry and has a qualification in fruit production. Must be actively engaged in commercial fruit growing in Hawkes Bay
