Kia ora koutou,
Our thoughts and best wishes are with you all as you forge your way through this harvest. We appreciate the weather is doing its part, at least. At EIT we try to ensure that students do not have any extra pressures from us during this busy time, but will look forward to seeing them back in class at the end of April. Some Diploma students have started the research project and Steven has seen some good ideas coming through.
Clare is working on the unification of qualifications for Te Pukenga – their hope is that by next year all of the providers will be delivering a unified program of study for Fruit Production. Currently our course is tailored to apples, just as in other regions it may be tailored to kiwifruit or blueberries, so next year there will be some changes. We will keep you informed as this work progresses. We also have some qualification development in the pipeline and will be seeking industry feedback after harvest. Welcome Megan Dravitzki to HBFA and we look forward to working with you in the future.
Please contact Stacey Higgins, (ddi 06 974 8000 ext 5623) for enrolments for all courses, or feel free to call Clare or Steven.
