The Pukekohe Young Vegetable Grower of the Year Competition is one of six regional heats, testing horticultural skills and knowledge.

The winners of the regional competitions continue on to compete in the New Zealand Young Fruit Grower of the Year, and then contest for the Young Grower of the Year title and for their share of $12,000 worth of prizes.

The Central Otago Young Fruit Fruit Grower of the Year Competition is one of six regional heats, testing horticultural skills and knowledge.

The winners of the regional competitions continue on to compete in the New Zealand Young Fruit Grower of the Year, and then contest for the Young Grower of the Year title and for their share of $12,000 worth of prizes.

The BNZ National Horticultural Field Days is an industry-only, two-day business to business event, it is proudly New Zealand’s only-focused horticultural event.

Creating a fantastic opportunity for professional development, showcasing Innovation & Technology and getting face to face with horticulture stakeholders.This event is key for the entire horticulture industry from students, on the ground workers, entry level personnel, through to mid and senior managers and CEO’s.

The BNZ National Horticultural Field Days brings the horticulture community together for a business opportunity, whilst celebrating horticulture in New Zealand.

The Expo is an opportunity for students and their career’s advisors, teachers and parents to take a quick glimpse at some of the opportunities offered by choosing a career in horticulture. The programme is designed to inspire and cultivate thinking that a career in Horticulture is beyond fruit picking and traditional views.

At this crucial time for the sector, the Summit brings farmers and producers from across the broad range of NZ’s primary industries together to hear local and global experts, while the Awards provides a unique opportunity to reward excellence and celebrate success throughout the primary industries value chain.

This unique event provides a forum to hear a selection of world class, global and local experts delivering insights that will support and enable the sector to plan and prepare for its transition and adaptation to a sustainable future.

The winners of the regional competitions continue on to compete in the New Zealand Young Fruit Grower of the Year, and then contest for the Young Grower of the Year title and for their share of $12,000 worth of prizes.

Growers are invited to attend a meeting at the Bay View Hotel to discuss the proposed plan. Organised by Summerfruit NZ’s vice chairman, Roger Brownlie, this meeting will focus on the Ahuriri Catchment.
